PG&E's Commercial HVAC Optimization Program

PG&E's Commercial HVAC Optimization Program offers generous incentives for enrolling in a single year air conditioning maintenance service agreement and installing optional unit retrofits. You will lower your operating, repair, and maintenance costs, and also:

  • Optimize unit performance and efficiency
  • Improve the indoor air quality and thermal comfort for your employers and customers
  • Help prevent HVAC unit failures that can threaten your business operations
  • Reduce your carbon footprint

Reduce your energy, maintenance, and A/C unit replacement costs

Customers who switch from a "service only when needed" plan to the Program can save up to $500*/year/unit+ in operating, servicing and repair costs. Even customers who operate with regular "check-based' plan could save up to $260/year/unit+. The Program is designed for commercial rooftop units powered by electricity from PG&E. Units that may not be eligible for incentives include: units less than three tons, new nits under warranty, units that participated in PG&E's AirCare Plus program within the last five years, units that participated in the Commercial Quality Maintenance program in the past eight years, and/or units that are in serious state of disrepair.

Financial Incentive paid in cash

Customers receive a rebate directly from PG&E, from $200 to $1,392 per unit, depending on the size and age of the unit. The cash incentive is paid at the time the unit is brought to ACCA 180 Standard baseline by COAC, which is typically within 60 days of signing the contract.

As a PG&E Trained and Certified Contractor, COAC will perform a comprehensive assessment of your HVAC units' condition prior to servicing them. Over the term of your service agreement, your qualifying HVAC units will receive regular servicing to optimize their performance and longevity. Additional benefits include energy costs savings, equivalent greenhouse gas emissions, unit life extension and reduced service calls for each unit.

Get Started Today

  1. Contact us (info@coacair.com) to schedule an in-person assessment of your rooftop HVAC systems.
  2. We will explain how the program works and will perform an inventory of your HVAC units to determine their eligibility and financial incentives available.
  3. We will help you apply for the financial incentives.
  4. We will perform the initial service work to bring your units up to the Program standard, and we will perform quarterly service to maintain your units according to the Program standard.
  5. You will receive your incentive payment within 60 days after your units qualify for the PG&E baseline.

A Win-Win

Regular maintenance of your HVAC systems ensures a higher level of performance, efficiency and reliability. It reduce your energy usage, lowers your operating, repair and replacement costs and improves your indoor air quality and thermal comfort. In addition, you'll experience fewer HVAC unit failures that can threaten your business operations.
